Beautiful, raw and honest photography which really grabs a moment and throws it at you, Paul D'Amato's work is a powerful example of how a single image of an individual can give so much of their character away. All these subjects are strangers to me, and yet I feel a very emotional connection to them. These photographs are almost action-snaps, for they have so much power and force and capture alot of movement and activity. I wonder if it would be effective to take honesty and use it less forcefully - so that the viewer can connect with the photograph calmly and simply.
